Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 sold $550 million dollars worth in just 5 days. Analysts' sales estimates for the $60 game range from 11 million to 13 million units by the end of 2009. I don't get this...

Palm Pixi Smartphone

Sprint launched the Palm Pixi smartphone. The $100 device is powered by webOS and has a qwerty keyboard along with a 2.6-inch multi-touch display.

NOOK VS. ALEX

The Alex is a new eReader on the market. It will have a small touchscreen surface on the bottom and a frame rate of 3 frames per second. This frame rate is a lot of faster than any other eReader out there. The touchscreen on the bottom is also seen on the Nook. The Alex are filing a lawsuit against the Nook.

Moshi Alarms

Moshi launched a new line of travel alarm clocks. The Moshi clocks use voice control commands so you can tell it what time you want the alarm to go off. It's currently $24.99 and comes in 4 colors; black, white, blue, pink.

Google Real Estate

Find a home using Google maps with the new feature, Real Estate. Real Estate gives you detailed information about homes for sale and for rent. This feature only applies to San Francisco and New York, for now. Hopefully they will make it nation wide soon.

Sony Ericsson's Equinox

Sony Ericsson is bringing flip-phone back with launching the new Equinox tomorrow. The phone will have 2.2-inch QVGA screen, 3.2-megapixel camera, 3G, Bluetooth, and a standard number pad for dialing. You can silence phone calls and alarms using motion control. Equinox also has GPS, FM radio, music player. It is not a smart phone.

Microsoft Office 2010

Microsoft will be launching Microsoft Offices 2010 next month. This version is said to be the most smooth and upgraded. Along with the new Office comes the Microsoft SharePoint.

Google Voice

We have heard of Google Voice for a while now, but since its inception, the service has been open to only a limited number of users. Google is getting ready to expand its telephony service in a big way, by opening up to "friends and family."

In the next few weeks, Google will gradually add an "invite a friend" link to the left-hand side of Voice users' inboxes. Google will initially provide Voice users with three invites, but that number will expand in the future, Google said in a blog post.

Barnes and Noble

Barnes and Noble may be launching its own eReader sometime next month. The eReader would be connected to its own eBook store. The device would be wireless, touchscreen, and powered by AT&T.

Solar Powered Books

LG makes solar powered eReader. It's only a prototype. It's 10 cm long and wide, has a 6 inch display, .77 mm thick, and weighs only 20 grams. Exposure of the sun will charge the eBook as well as manual charging.

Facebook DOWN??

Thousands of Facebook users who have been unable to access their account for nearly a week and a half now are now seeing their profiles restored--but some data related to recent profile updates may have been lost.

What happened? According to Facebook, the replacement of profiles and login screens with a "down for maintenance" notice--which appears to have started on October 3--stemmed from "a technical issue with a single database." The company has stressed that there is no chance that it was due to hackers or other malicious activity.

Profiles should be restored over the course of the next day, the company estimates.

Your Wii can help your dog stay in shape with Nintendo's new Pet Support Plus game. Your dog doesn't actually get to play games, or even do any dog specific exercises, but you can weigh him and see how his diet is doing.

Adobe Flash 10.1

Adobe launches Flash 10.1 video player software for mobile phones. It will launch Flash with the support of Google. It will be available on most cellular devices except the iPhone!

Mobile Television

Flo TV launches a portable tv so you can watch on-the-go! It's a 3.5 inch touchscreen, weighs 5 ounces, and can play for 5 hours. Good news: It costs $250.

Gateway Launches New Touchscreen

Gateway is launching a new touchscreen computer that are apparently more affordable that HP touchsmart machines. The computer, Gateway 1ZX series is around $1000, the most expensive is $1400. This machine supports Windows 7, multi touch, has a webcam, a wireless keyboard, and a wireless mouse.

Google Maps!

Google Maps is updated. Street view is launched in 11 cities in Canada. Google got more data from government organizations such as Forest Service that help detece trails and paths. Biking paths are still not available.

PDF --> HTML

Google adds new features to 'Search' and 'Maps'. Users can now view PDF files as HTML files. So, what does this mean?

You don't have to download a document, scan for viruses, download/update Adobe. Very simple.

The Viper SmartStart from Directed Electronics is an iPhone-compatible remote starter capable of warming up or cooling down a car. Even if you’re not a fan of letting your car idle in a parking lot, Viper says the SmartStart could come in handy for remotely locking or unlocking the doors, popping the trunk or even sounding the car alarm.

LG is launching a new slider version of Chocolate, BL20. The phone has a 5 mega pixel camera with LED flash and auto focus. It supports 3G and has a 8GB Micro SDHC card. The phone will cost $394 with out a contract.

Honda U3-X Unicycle

Honda launched the U3-X, a robotic unicycle. The U3-X travels right, left, forward, and backward. This unicycle can adjust itself instead of a person trying to balance on it. This super fast unicycle gets all the way up to 3.7 MPH! Honda did not intend for this machine to be an actual consumer product, more like a new machine.

Did Anyone Order 2 Starbucks Apps?

Starbucks is releasing 2 iPhone apps. The first is the 'My Starbucks' app. It tells users locations to nearby a Starbucks, nutritional information, and store hours. The second app is Starbucks Card Mobile. This app let's you manage your cards with communicating with anyone/anything other than your precious iPhone. This app gives instant access to anyone that has a Starbucks' loyalty card. The app syncs a person's account info and let's them pay for their drinks right on the iPhone.

Laptop w/ 4 Screens

Intel showed off their new prototype laptop, Tangent Bay. It's the first laptop with multi-touch and multi-screen capabilities. Tangent Bay has 1 main LCD screen and 3 small OLED (organic light-emitting diode) touch screens above the keyboard. Intel is showing off this very cool laptop in hopes of making it a commercial product.

Chrysler Saves Trees

Chrysler is going to be the first automaker to provide digital owners manual for all 2010 cars. This will save 930 tons of paper = 20,000 trees. Owners of 2010-model Chryslers will get digital owners manuals and a 60- to 80-page quick reference guide instead of a 5 pound manual. Go Chrysler!

Myspace + Twitter = Twitspace

MySpace announced on Monday that the company will now have an option to two-way sync with Twitter. MySpacers can now update their MySpace status and sync that update to their Twitter page. Same goes with Twitter to Myspace. Enjoy this cool new option!

Motion Controlled Earphones

Sony Ericsson has new earphones that stop playing music once they are out of your ears. MH907 turn the music back on once the earphones are back in. The same motion can initiate phone calls if connected to a cell phone. With this new product you don't have to pause your music, you can just pull off your earphones. There is no price tag or release date yet.
